Shyama Prasad Mukherji College For Women (University of Delhi) is offering an Add-on Online Certificate Course in Counselling and Psychotherapy under the Department of Applied Psychology with the collaboration of Utsaah Psychological Services Private Limited. This will be the Eighth batch for this course.

Course Overview

This course is designed to provide the learner with advanced exploration and analysis of counseling techniques as well as Psychotherapy. The learner will get the opportunity to learn the concepts of traditional and contemporary counseling practice and various psychotherapies under the supervision of a Registered Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Clinician.

The course modules follow a natural progression from personal development to theoretical approaches and skills practice, while also giving students an insight into counselling and psychotherapy as a profession.
The course allows the learner to gain extensive knowledge and practical application of counselling skills and psychotherapy skills that students can apply at various places like clinics, hospitals, schools, industries, etc. The learner will also get to learn the psychotherapeutic approach for different Psychological disorders. This certificate program can also be useful to a professional counsellor who needs a touch-up on new systems and practices in the field. The focus of the course is on developing the counselling and psychotherapy skills of personal presence and awareness of the process. Attention is also paid to interpersonal and group skills.

Certificate for the course:

Students enrolled for this certificate course are required to submit the assignment assigned during the course and also need to score at least the minimum passing marks in the online exam conducted at the end of the course. On successful completion of the course, the certificate will be issued to all the candidates after the final exam.
