The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given the task of conducting UGC-NET to NTA, which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ in Indian universities and colleges.
Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.
NTA has invited online application form for NET Exam for December 2020 cycle. The NTA will conduct the next UGC-NET exam for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor on 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 May 2021. Interested and eligible candidates can apply before the last date.
The last date to apply is 2/Feb/2020. Application Fees can be paid up to 03 March 2021
UGC NET JRF will conduct the Net exam in the computer based test. the Test will have 2 papers and both the papers will be completely objective.
There would be no break between the papers.
Pattern of the Exam
Paper 1 : General Paper, this paper will consists of Questions from Reasoning, English etc.
Marks 100
No of Question: 50
Paper 2 : Psychology Paper
Marks: 200
No of Questions: 100
The medium of Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only. Each question carries 02 (two) marks. and there will be no negative marking.
Eligibility
Masters in Psychology with at least 55% marks( 50% marks in case of SC/ST ) . Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.
Age limit to appear for the exam.
For Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
For JRF: Not more than 31 years as on 1 st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.03.2021 (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only).
