Eligibility:
Candidates belonging to the following two broad streams are eligible to get admission in M.A/M.Sc Psychology course:
Psychology Stream (Course code: 497) | Candidates having B.A./B.Sc. (Hons.) in Psychology under 10+2+3 pattern or having studied Psychology as a subject in all the three years at B.A./B.Sc. level. |
Non-Psychology Stream (Course code: 722) | Candidates having a graduate degree in Science, Engineering & Technology, and Medical Sciences without having studied Psychology at the graduate level. |
Note: There will be separate entrance tests for Psychology and Non-Psychology streams of candidates for admission to M.A. in Psychology. Candidates desirous to seek admission in M.A./M.Sc. Psychology who have not studied Psychology at the UG level (having graduate degrees in Science, Engineering & Technology, and Medical Sciences) are advised to fill up the online Application form for PET Course Code 722, accordingly.
Exam Scheme
M.A./M.Sc. Psychology (Course code: 497) | The entrance Test paper will be of 120 minutes duration carrying 480 marks (containing 120 multiple-choice questions) based on graduate-level knowledge of Psychology. |
M.Sc. Non-Psychology (Course code: 722) | The entrance Test paper will be of 120 minutes duration carrying 480 marks containing 120 MCQs, as given below: General Psychology (10+2 level)- 20 MCQs, Verbal ability, reading comprehension, and knowledge of the language– 25 MCQs, Data interpretation and Logical reasoning-25MCQs, Quantitative Ability & Basics of Computer Application-25 MCQs, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs– 25 MCQs. |
Each question would carry FOUR marks for correct answer and there is NEGATIVE MARKING. For each wrong answer, ONE mark would be deducted.
