BM Institute of Mental Health, Ahmedabad has invited the applications in prescribed format for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology-PGDCP (earlier known as Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology-PDCP) and Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology (PGDRP) for the academic year 2024.

Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology Diploma at BM Institute

The Institute has announced the application for the Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP) which will be known as the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PGDCP) from 2025-26 onwards. This year only the RCI has proposed the change in the name of the professional diploma course from PDCP to PGDCP.

Students on successful completion of this course will be awarded the RCI registration as Clinical Psychologist (Associate).

Course duration: 1 year

Edibility (As per RCI Norms):

UGC-recognized Master’s degree in any branch of Psychology of 2-year duration (4 semesters) with a minimum grade average of 55% (or equivalent grade as per UGC norms).

Or

UGC recognized Masters’ Degree in any branch of Psychology of 1-year duration (2 semesters) (NHEQF 6.5) after obtaining a 4-year duration Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Psychology, with a minimum grade average of 60% (or equivalent grade as per UGC norms).

Admission will be based on the Entrance test.

Entrance Exam Pattern:

  • The entrance test for the PG Diploma in Clinical Psychology will be held in an offline Paper-pad test.
  • The medium of the test will be English (only)
  • Each Question will carry 1 mark, and there will be no negative marking.

  • Take a printout of download the application and fill in all the required details.
  • Students are also required to pay the application fee of ₹250/- through (UPI/IMPS/NEFT).

Once the candidate fills out the application form and pays the application fee, they need to self-attest copies of all the required documents listed below.

  • 1. Statement of marks of Bachelor Degree (All Semester marksheet separately).
  • 2. Statement of marks of Master’s Degree (All Semester marksheet separately).
  • 3. Proof of valid OBC / SC/ ST / PWD/EWS (As per Govt. of Gujarat Norms) certificate.
  • 4. Proof of valid PWD (As per Govt. of India Norms) certificate.
  • 5. Self-Attested copy of Aadhaar Card.
  • 6. Attach a photocopy of the transaction ID to the application form.

The candidates need to submit the application along with the above-mentioned documents at the institute in person or they can also send it by Courier / Post at BMIMH, Near Nehru Bridge, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad-380009.

Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Psychology at BM Institute

The PGDRP course at BM Institute of Mental Health is recognized by RCI, Delhi, and affiliated with the Gujarat University.

Upon successful completion of the PGDRP course, students will receive the RCI registration as Rehabilitation Counselors.

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s degree (regular mode) with general psychology courses in all three years.

OR

Master’s degree in any branch of Psychology either in regular or distance mode.

OR

Master’s degree in counseling psychology either in regular or distance mode. With a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST/OBC category, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential. Entry qualification shall be from a UGC-recognized university.
