The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is accepting applications for Ph.D. Psychology program for the academic year 2024-25. This program offers a unique opportunity for advanced research in psychology, under the guidance of esteemed faculty members in a central university.
Psychology Department at DU
The Central University of Karnataka, located in Kalaburagi, Karnataka provides access to state-of-the-art research facilities and interdisciplinary collaboration opportunities. The Department of Psychology is committed to fostering an intellectually stimulating environment to support the development of researchers in diverse psychological domains. Along with a PhD Psychology, the department also offers a B.Sc/M.Sc Psychology courses.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Psychology (55% marks minimum; 50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Kashmiri Migrants) or an M.Phil. with coursework.
In addition to a PG degree in Psychology, the candidates should fulfil one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates who have qualified for national level examinations [such as JRF /NET/GATE or equivalent exam in Psychology.
- Candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) under Ph.D only (Category-3).
- Candidates who have secured a DST-INSPIRE Fellowship.
- Candidates with Central government and State government-sponsored fellowships.
- National / State level Teacher fellowship holders.

- 70% Weightage: Based on academic qualifications, national-level exam scores, and online departmental tests.
- 30% Weightage: Personal interaction, including online presentations and viva voce.

Application process
The application process is online through the SAMARTH portal. Registration is open from November 27, 2024, to December 26, 2024.
