Delhi University on 20th December 2021, have confirmed by their notification that admission for BA/B.Sc courses from the 2022 session onwards will be taken by a common entrance test or through Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
Earlier it was informed in New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, that there should be a common entrance test in order to provide admission to various UG and PG courses.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is already conducting CUCET where 14 Central Universities have participated till 2021 for admission to UG and PG courses. Now, from the academic year 2022 onwards many other universities including the University of Delhi (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and many other Central Universities are going to participate in CUCET.
Earlier Delhi University was taking admission to the bachelor degree courses on a merit basis, but if you are aiming your admission in DU for BA/B.Sc course including BA or B.Sc Psychology, then you have to appear for in the CUCET/DUET 2022.
Syllabus and Pattern of CUCET for BA/B.Sc Psychology Entrance 2022
The syllabus for CUCET 2022 is not officially announced, and it is to be announced soon. As of now, the NTA is taking CUCET for BA/B.Sc Psychology admission on the following pattern.
Mode of Examination:
The Examinations are being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The pattern of Question Papers:
| 100 MCQ Type questions based on the following topics: |
| (English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude & General Knowledge) |
The syllabus mentioned above is based on CUCET 2021. As per the available information, there might be some changes in this syllabus and from 2022 onwards the question paper is supposed to be divided into two parts, where 1st part of the question paper will include the syllabus as mentioned above like General Aptitude. The 2nd Part of the question paper will be domain or subject-specific, and the questions in this section will be based on the subject selected by the student. So, if you have applied for BA/B.Sc Psychology then your domain paper will be Psychology specific.
