Junior Research Fellow Vacancy in NIMHANS, Bengaluru 2021—UPS Education

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, commonly known as NIMHANS, Bangalore has invited eligible candidates to apply for the post of Junior Research Fellow under through the walk-in interview at the venue mentioned below. This post will be under ICMR funded project entitled as Effective of community-based rehabilitation delivered by ASHAs for persons with severe mental illness in a rural community in Karnataka: a randomized controlled comparison with specialist-delivered care. The Junior Researcher will work under Addl. Professor of Psychiatry & PI, Dr. T. Sivakumar.

Qualification:

Essential:

MA Psychology/MSc Psychology or MSW in Social work with at least 60% aggregate marks
Proficiency in Kannada and English Language
Proficiency in computer skills

Desirable:

Prior experience in community-based work for persons with mental illness
Experience in doing data collection and supervising research data collection

Nature of Work:

Administration of research instruments in the community
Coordinating the Research activity work
Keeping regular touch with patients and key informants in community
Follow-up visits
Research Assessments
Data entry
Administrative work related to the project

Work Location: Jagaluru Taluk, Davangere district

Maximum age limit: 40 Years

Emoluments: Rs 38,440 per month (Rs 31,000 per month + Rs 7440 24%HRA)

Duration of the Appointment: 6 months
