The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health, commonly known as LGBRIMH, is a premier mental health institution located in Tezpur, Assam. It was Established in 1876 and 1922 the hospital was rechristened as Tezpur Mental Hospital. It has evolved over the years to become one of India’s leading centers for mental health care, education, and research.
LGBRIMH is affiliated with Gauhati University, a renowned public university located in Guwahati, Assam. The institute is also recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), Delhi.
The Gauhati University conducts GURET (GU Research Eligibility Test) for admission to various PhD courses of the university department as well as for the PhD and MPhil in Clinical Psychology courses on behalf of LGBRIMH, Tezpur.
