The Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) is formerly known as Hospital for the Mental Diseases, Shahdara is now also known as IHBAS. IHBAS is a mental health and neurosciences research institute which is based in Shahdara, New Delhi. IHBAS was established in response to a Supreme Court verdict in 1993, transforming previous HMD into a center for treatment, training, and research. It is an Autonomous Society under the command of the Delhi Government.
