M.Phil Clinical Psychology at RML Hospital Delhi | Eligibility, Seats, and More!
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, originally Willingdon Hospital, was established by the British in 1933 with just 54 beds. Transferred to the Indian government in 1954, it has expanded to approximately 1,500 beds across 37 acres, offering broad and super-speciality departments with 24/7 emergency services. Serving New Delhi, Central District, and beyond, the hospital saw around 1.8 million OPD visits, 77,000 indoor admissions, and 340,000 emergency cases in 2019. Plans for a Super Specialty Block, Oncology services, and a Transplant Immunology and Molecular Pathology Lab are underway.
The Psychiatry Department, launched in 1943, now has 72 beds and is recognised as a Center of Excellence in Mental Health. In 2019, it served around 70,000 OPD patients and 1,800 indoor patients. Since May 2015, the Department has been affiliated with GGSIP University, New Delhi (GGSIPU) for providing M.Phil (Clinical Psychology) training and is recognised by RCI.

MPhil in Clinical Psychology
Eligibility:
1. Master’s degree in Psychology or equivalent from a University recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate preferably with a special paper in Clinical Psychology.
2. For the SC/ST/PWD category, a minimum of 50% marks aggregate is essential.
Duration and Seats:
It is a 2-year course with a total of 13 seats per year.

3. Alumni Contribution Fund (One Time Payment) is 2,000/-
4. Security Deposit (One Time – Refundable) is 10,000/-

Application Process
Applications are being accepted online by GGSIP University. To apply online, you need to visit the official website of IPU. After registration, you will have your User ID and Password to log in to the admission portal. There, you have to select the option of MPhil Clinical Psychology and have to fill out all the necessary details as mentioned on the website. Once you fill out all the details including Personal Details, Qualification Details, Address, etc. You are to pay the application fee online.
Admission Procedure for M.Phil (Clinical Psychology)
Step 1: The eligible candidates can write an MCQ-based CET
Step 2: Based on the CET Score, the candidates are called for interviews in the ratio of 3 candidates for each existing seat in all categories as per the reservation matrix.

Method of Selection?
The entry into the M. Phil course will be based on a Common Entrance Test (CET) which will be conducted by the Indraprastha University or any other agency appointed for that purpose by the University. The CET will be held either in a computer-based testing (CBT) manner or on OMR paper using multiple-choice questions. The examination is held only at the specified centres. The mode of examination is informed in due course on the University website under the purview of the Examination Branch. The CETs are conducted for 2 hours and consist of 100 MCQs. Each question has a value of four marks and there is no provision of negative marking. The University can cancel any M.Phil – CET if deemed necessary.
The final result depends on performance in written exams and interviews. The weightage of marks is 90% for CET and 10% for the interview
