About Mizoram University
Mizoram University was established by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000). It turned functional by 2nd July 2001. Mizoram University is located in Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram. And it covers an expanse of 979 acres within the city’s outskirts.
Mizoram University was ranked as one of the most famous Universities in India. It was assessed by the NIRF rankings from 2016 to 2023 under MHRD. In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2022, the university held 1st Rank in the North-East Region of India. Over the course of its 22-year history, this university has achieved significant advancements in terms of its infrastructure, academic offerings, personnel, and supportive services.
Department of Clinical Psychology
The Department of Clinical Psychology was set up in the academic session 2019-2020 and now presents a full-time M.Sc in Clinical Psychology under the School of Medical and Para-Medical Sciences with the UGC sanctioned posts of One Professor, Two Associate Professors, and Four Assistant Professors. The intake of students for the M.Sc program is 30 per year. The program has four semesters during which the students must undertake 100 credit papers under the CBCS pattern.
Mizoram University is a new RCI-approved institution for M.Phil in Clinical Psychology with a total seat intake of 10.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Phil Clinical Psychology
Candidates must have scored at least 55% in their Master’s degree in Psychology in order to be eligible for the M.Phil Clinical Psychology course at this institute.
