The Mental Health and Hospital Institute is in the middle of the city on the old Agra-Mathura Road. It’s really well-known in India for helping people with mental health problems, doing research, and teaching about mental disorders. It’s a top choice for studying clinical psychology in North India.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates, who have gained a Master’s degree in Psychology from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to the category of SC /ST should have completed their Masters in Psychology with minimum 50% marks.

Entrance Exam Pattern
The written test will consist of 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs). Candidates will have 90 Minutes (1.5 Hours) to attend the examination. Notably, there is no negative marking in this entrance exam. The final result will be based on the scores gained by the candidates.
In the case of Tie
- Candidates, who have gained the highest percentage, will be prioritize.
- If there is still any tie, the age of candidates will be the priority.

Fee Structure (Not Application Fee)
Candidates have to make the payment of ₹2,000/- as the admission fee. The fee of MPhil Clinical Psychology course is ₹1,50,000/- per year at IMHH. The fee of Hostel is ₹10,000/- per year for candidates who choose hostel accommodation.
Stipend Details
The monthly stipend will be paid to candidates for a maximum period of two years as per the rules of IMHH Agra. The in-service candidates would have the option to choose between stipend or salary if offered by the employer and should intimate the director, IMHH accordingly.

The application fee for MPhil Clinical Psychology program is ₹1,500/- for General Candidates. The fee for special category candidates i.e. ST /SC /OBC /EWS is ₹750/-.

Note: The date of entrance exam at IMHH Agra has been postponed. Further notice will be issued by the institutes regarding the same.
General Instructions
The candidates applying for the program must keep in mind the following instructions.
- Online application /Incomplete applications /Application sent after the due date shall not be considerable.
- The candidates, who have not attached their MA /MSc marksheet along with the application will not be considered for the entrance examination.
- Candidates need to provide documents to prove everything you claim in the application.
- The course is in regular mode. No candidate can simultaneously pursue any other course, correspondence or otherwise explicit and written permission from the director of the institute.
- The MPhil candidates admitted to the course shall have to submit a migration certificate from the university last attended.
- The unselected candidates will not get any intimation by the institute. The list of selected candidates will be updated on the notice board of IMHH and uploaded on the official website.
