NIEPMD, Chennai announced the applications in the prescribed format for M.Phil Clinical Psychology admission 2024-25 sessions. Eligible candidates can submit the NIEPMD Chennai M.Phil in Clinical Psychology 2024 application offline only.
The National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities, Chennai also known as NIEPMD, is affiliated with Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) for M.Phil Clinical Psychology course.
This course offers specialized training in clinical psychology with a focus on addressing the needs of individuals with multiple disabilities.

Eligibility: NIEPMD MPhil Clinical Psychology
The minimum qualification for admission into the MPhil Clinical Psychology course is a bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc in Psychology) and master’s degree in Psychology (MA/MSc) in regular mode with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD).
Those in the final semester of their postgraduate degree are also eligible. If the candidate is shortlisted for the interview, they should be able to produce their original documents including a master’s marksheet at the time of the interview.

Selected students will get a stipend of ₹10,000 per month from the second year onwards of the course.
Course & Application fee:
The application fee is ₹2000 for General and OBC candidates, and ₹1000 for SC/STEWS candidates. There is no application fee for PWD candidates.
The annual fee for the program amounts to approximately ₹1,20,000.
NIEPMD – Application process
To apply, candidates must download the Application Form by clicking on the provided link, complete all necessary fields, and submit it to the Institute via POST only. Along with the Application Forms, they must enclose self-attested copies of the following documents:
- X / SSLC / Equivalent Marksheet
- HSC / Intermediate / +2 Equivalent Marksheet
- Undergraduate Degree Certificate
- Postgraduate / Integrated Program Certificate
- Any additional higher qualifications (if applicable)
The candidates who have been selected for the final admission, along with other documents, must also produce their Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate from their previous college/university and Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University to complete the admission procedures.

NIEPMD – MPhil Clinical Psychology Entrance pattern
The written exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. There will be no negative marking for this exam.
The selected candidates will proceed to the Interview phase.
The weightage of marks obtained in the written test will be 60% and 40% weightage will be of interview.
