The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) has invited online applications for admission into various postgraduate courses, including PhD Clinical Psychology and M.Phil in Clinical Psychology for the session 2025-26. Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have accomplished their 2-year Master’s degree in Psychology.
Note: Final-year appearing candidates and those who are waiting for final results may apply for the course but need to submit a marksheet on the day of admission.

NIMHANS MPhil Clinical Psychology Exam Pattern
The entrance exam will take place in Bengaluru City only.
The entrance examination will contain 100 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), and the duration will be 90 Minutes (1.5 Hours). Each question carries 1 mark.
Notably, there is a negative marking of ¼ (0.25) for each wrong answer.
There will be no interview. The selection of candidates will be based on entrance exam scores and document verification only.
Application Fee
For general category candidates, the online application fee is ₹1,500. Candidates belonging to the ST or SC category have to pay ₹1,000 as an application fee.
NIMHANS also offers a stipend of ₹25,000/- per month to selected students.
