NIMHANS is accepting online applications from eligible applicants for various programs including M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. The admissions are for Phase 1 of the 2023 session. Further details regarding the admission and courses are as follows
The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences is a world-renowned institute for mental health, neurosciences, and allied fields located in Bengaluru. It is a ‘Deemed University’ from 1994 by the government for its eminent academic growth and contributions. It combines research and training in both Mental Health and Neurosciences. Ph.D in Clinical Psychology
Ph.D Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS is a 3 to 5 year full-time regular program. There are 3 seats under ‘Institute Stipendiary Category’ for this. The candidate must have an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology OR 2 years Master’s Degree in Psychology discipline to apply. Also, the maximum age limit to apply for Ph.D Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS is 40-42 years. The total fee for 3 years will be ₹32,000.
M.Phil in Clinical Psychology
M.Phil Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS is a 2-year regular program. The candidate must have a 2 years Master’s Degree in Psychology discipline to apply for this. Furthermore, the maximum age limit to apply for M.Phil Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS is 32 years. The total fee for 2 years will be ₹24,800. The seat distribution is as follows

NIMHANS, Bengaluru Entrance Exam Pattern:
The Entrance test will happen in Bengaluru city only. The question paper for the Entrance test will contain multiple-choice objective-type questions. The duration of the test for each course will be 90 minutes for 100 questions. There will be negative markings and 0.25 marks will be deducted for all wrong answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
NIMHANS Application Procedure:
The students should visit the Apply Now link and register as a new applicant. Then, fill up their details and attach their related documents. To complete the application the candidate should pay the application fees. After paying the Application fee the application procedure will be completed. NIMHANS will conduct their entrance examination on the 14th and 15th of May 2023(posponded). The Last date to apply for the same is 23rd March 2023. Click here for the Admission Notification
