PhD Psychology Applications 2023-24
Applications are available at the Central University of Karnataka for the admissions to PhD Psychology program. The admissions are for the session 2023-24. Candidates are advised to read the details mentioned below before applying at central university of Karnataka. Further details are as follows.

The Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is one of the central universities established by the government of India under the Parliament Act (No. 3 of 2009). It is currently running 16 departments divided into 7 schools and 1 center and it is offering 9 Dual degree programs, 15 master degree programs, 16 Research (Ph.D.) programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Ph.D. Psychology, candidates need to complete their Master’s in Psychology from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or equivalent with not less than 55% marks. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for students belonging to the category of SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD and Kashmiri Migrants and non-migrants students.

Exemption from Entrance Exams

The following candidates will be exempted from the entrance test and will appear in the interview.

1. Those candidates who have qualified for National level examinations like JRF, NET (UGC /CSIR), GATE or equivalent, etc.
2. National /State level teacher fellowship holders.
3. Candidates who have secured DST-INSPIRE fellowship.
4. Candidates admitted under various research projects (fulfilling any of the above points).
5. The candidates with central government and state government-sponsored fellowships.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging to General, OBC-NCL, and EWS category have to make a payment of ₹500/- as the application fee (₹100 for SC /ST /PwD).

Application Process

You have to register as a new user at the official website using the link mentioned below. There you need to provide some basic information to register. Once you get your credentials to login, you have to login the website. There you will have a new application to fill out. There will be 3 steps (Profile, Select Program, and Payment). You are to fill application by clicking on the profile option.

1. In the profile section, you need to provide all your details like DOB, address, and other necessary details. Make sure that you have scanned copies of your photo, signature, and income certificate.
2. At the second step, you have to provide program and academic details like NET or other equivalent examination details, documents, etc.
3. Once all these steps are done, you need to make payment of the application fee at the last.

Documents to be Uploaded

Once you reach in academic section in application form, you are to upload the following documents.

1. Class X Marksheet
2. Class XII Marksheet
3. Graduation Marksheet and Certificate
4. Masters Marksheet and Certificate
5. MPhil Marksheet and Certificate (if available)
6. NET Marksheet and Certificate (if available)

Note: Marksheet and Certificate should be enclosed in one documents like if you are uploading documents in PDF, then marksheet and certificate both should be in one PDF.

Selection Process

The selection process for Ph.D. Program at the Central University of Karnataka is as follows:

1. 70% marks to JRF, NET and allied qualifications, PG program, and online test conducted by the concerned department.
2. 30% weightage will be for online presentation and viva voce.
3. The marking criteria is as follows:
