University of Kashmir, Srinagar has invited applications in prescribed format from eligible candidates to apply for various Ph.D. programs including Ph.D. in Psychology. Interested candidates who wish to pursue the same may apply through the instructions given below.
The University of Kashmir, also known as Kashmir University (KU), is a collegiate public state university based in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, India. The University was founded in 1948 on the western side of DAL Lake. The university’s main campus is split into three sections: Hazratbal Campus, Naseem Bagh Campus, and Mirza Bagh Campus. The University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. It has also been given an “A” rating by NAAC on 29th May 2019.

Essential Qualification:
Masters in Psychology with not less than 55% in aggregate.
Application fee: ₹100/-
For NET/JRF Qualified Candidates:
The students who have qualified for the NET JRF Examination will be exempted from the entrance test. If the number of applying candidates is more than the seats available then no entrance test shall be conducted.
Entrance Test pattern:
There shall be 1 Entrance test containing 3 Parts:
Part 1: General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, Analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparisons, puzzles, etc.
Part 2: Basic (conventional) questions on Core papers.
Part 3: Advanced (higher value questions) questions on core papers
Type of Questions: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)
Total Number of Questions: 100
Negative Markings: NA
The Break of questions in the question paper shall be:
(i) Part -I: 20
(ii) Part-II: 30
(iii) Part-III: 50
