TN SET (Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test) Psychology 2024 Applications are available for the session 2024. SET is a statewide exam that determines the eligibility of candidates to become Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellow in a particular state. We have mentioned all the details of TNSET 2024 in this article. You should read all the information mentioned below before applying.
Every State has a Nodel Agency that conduct State Eligibility Test (SET). Manonmaniam Sundaranar University has been obliged as a nodel agency to conduct TNSET 2024 on the behalf of the Govt. of Tamil Nadu.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates must complete a Master’s degree in a specific subject (such as Psychology) with at least 55% marks to be eligible for TNSET 2024. Those belonging to the SC, ST, PwD, or Third Gender category must achieve at least 50% marks to qualify.
- Candidates who have taken their exams of final year /semester for Master’s program and their final result is still awaited can also apply for TNSET 2024. But such candidates will be considered for the position of Assistant Professor or JRF if they hold marksheet of Master’s in Psychology course. Notably, such candidates must have their Master’s degree or equivalent examination within two years from the date of TNSET 2024 result with the required percentage.
- Those candidates, who have completed their Ph.D. by 19 September 1991 shall be eligible to have a relaxation of 5% marks.
- There is no UPPER AGE limit for TNSET 2024.
- If the candidates do not find their post-graduation subject in the list of TNSET 2024, those are advised to appear in UGC NET /Joint CSIR-UGC Exam.

TNSET 2024 Exam Pattern
TNSET exam pattern will be in UGC NET format. The test will consist of two papers. Paper I will be common for all the students while paper II will be subject-specific as elected by the candidates.

All questions in the exam will be objective-type MCQs. The exam will be in online CBT mode.

Application Process
To apply online, candidates need to visit the official website via the link mentioned below. There, you need to register as a new user. After the registration, you will get a unique ID to log in to the portal. After login, you need to follow three steps
- After login, you need to fill out the registration form. There, you have to provide your basic details.
- Then, you have to fill out the application form. There you need to provide your qualification details and need to verify the information you provided at first step. No further changes will be allowed.
- Once you are done with these, you have to make the payment of the application fee.

- More than one application will be rejected.
