National Testing Agency has announced the Final Answer Key and Cut-off list for the UGC-NET/JRF Psychology Examination for the December 2021 and June 2022 (Merged Cycle) Session.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an Indian government agency that was founded in November 2017 after receiving approval from the Union Council of Ministers to administer entrance examinations for educational institutions. Vineet Joshi was named the agency’s first Director-General by the government.
UGC-NET (National Eligibility Test) is primarily conducted by the National Testing Agency on behalf of the University Grant Commission. It is the examination for determining the eligibility of the aspirants who want to pursue a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or work as an Assistant Professor in a UGC Recognized University or College in India. Currently, the UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year in the months of June and December through computer-based tests.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must have scored a minimum of 55% (general category) and a minimum of 50% (others) in a master’s degree.
Age Limit & Relaxation for UGC NET
Junior Research Fellowship: The candidate’s age should not be more than 31 years as on 1 June 2022.
There are a few relaxations as well that are provided:
- Candidates (including women applicants) belonging to the category of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender are given relaxation for up to 5 years.
- Candidates who hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree are given 3-year age relaxation.
- Armed forces veterans are eligible for a five-year relaxation of their eligibility requirements, subject to their length of service in the military as of the first day of the month in which the UGC NET exam will be held.
For Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for candidates to apply for UGC NET (Assistant Professor).
