University of Calcutta MPhil Clinical Psychology 2024
Eligibility:
A master’s degree in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Clinical Psychology from any recognized University with 55% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD category minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required).
Note: Candidates, who have appeared in the final examination may apply, provided their final marks/ grades reach before the board of examinations for viva voce on or before the date of viva voce.
Number of seats:
Total intake: 12 (UR-06, SC-03, ST-01, OBC-A-1, OBC-B-1; seat reservation for PWD is 5% horizontally).
Course fees:
Admission fee – ₹5000/- (for each year)
Tuition fee – ₹5000/- (per month)
Examination fee – ₹1000/- (for each yearly examination)
Exam Pattern
The written test would be of 100 marks comprising:
60 MCQs each carrying 1 mark (60)
1 long answer question carrying 40 marks (40)
There would be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
1 hour will be allotted for 60 MCQ and 30 minutes will be allotted for the long answers of 40 marks.
Long answers of only those candidates will be considered for evaluation who will secure at least 25% marks (15 out of 60 for candidates of the general category, 11 for SC, ST & PWD, OBC A & OBC B 13.5) in the MCQs.
Candidates will be called for viva voce based on the marks they obtain in the written examination. Viva voce will be of 50 marks.
Students qualifying for both the written examination and viva voce will be considered for final selection to the course, which will be published on the website with the score.
