The National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) is a reputed Institution that provides M. Phil Couse under its premisses. NIMHANS, Bengaluru was declared as a DEEMED University in the year 1994 by the Central Government. It not only gives training to the students but also provides them with many opportunities regularly. NIMHANS got the title of “Institute of National Importance” in the year 2012.

Educational Qualification:

a) I Class/ II Class M. A/M. Sc degree in Psychology from a recognized University / Institution.

And

b) M. Phil in Mental Health and Social Psychology/M.Phil in Clinical Psychology/ or equivalent qualification from an institution/university recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

Desirable Experience: Conversant with modern technique on psychodiagnostic and psychological methods of treatment/research experience.

Maximum age limit:35 Years

Emoluments (Consolidated):

In Level 6: Rs.35,400 -1,12, 400/- (As per 7th CPC)

Initial Pay: Rs. 35,400/-

Duration of the Appointment: On contract basis for 1 year likely to be renewed for the 2nd & 3rd year depending upon the satisfactory performance of duties.

The Post will be under The Department of CP, CAM & NDA

(NOTE: Out of 13 Clinical Psychologist posts, 11 posts are allocated to Dept. of Clinical Psychology, 01 post is allocated to Centre for Addiction Medicine and 01 post is allocated to NIMHANS Digital Academy.)

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Degree in M. Sc in Psychology.

Desirable Experience: A Candidate with prior research Experience.

Maximum age limit:30 Years

Emoluments (Consolidated): Rs. 25,300/- P.M

Duration of the Appointment: On contract basis for one year likely to be renewed for the 2nd & 3rd year depending upon the satisfactory performance of duties.

The Post will be under The Centre for Addiction Medicine (CAM)
